Wael El-Tonsy was born in Cairo in 1975. From early age being interested in music, he studied with professor of Music Education of Egypt University. He also had been taking lessons from “Hameed Al-Sha’ery”, the Libyan artist.
Since that time Wael constantly performs live and works in studio in collaboration with many famous Egyptian musicians. Having a good understanding of traditional oriental music and knowledge of modern means of musical expression, Wael tries himself in teaching and doing musical arrangements.
Wael has many years of experience in creating voices and styles for Yamaha oriental arranger workstations. In 2015, he became Yamaha endorser for PSR-A3000.
