R Series (SLOT) I/O Rack
What routing is available with the matrix patching of the user pattern?
Supports full matrix patching channel by channel except for the routing between Dante channels. You can also make routing between Mini-YGDAI slot channels including a return patch to the identical slot. The matrix patching will be edited from R Remote V3 application software or CL/QL series digital mixing consoles.
Is the user pattern setting retained even after the other presets are recalled?
Yes. The user pattern setting is retained in the internal memory and can be recalled whenever the rotary switch is set to "0".
Can the Sample Rate Converter (SRC) be applied to the routing between Mini-YGDAI slots?
Yes. SRCs are located at the input and output of each Mini-YGDAI slot. They can be applied to the routing between slots as well as between a slot and Dante. If SRCs are enabled on both slots (or return patch to the identical slot), SRCs are applied twice. This would create a short additional delay to the audio, but will not cause any other inconvenience (such as added noise for example).
Can 96kHz Dante audio be converted and output as, for example, AES/EBU 48kHz?
Yes. Install a Mini-YGDAI card which supports AES/EBU such as MY16-AE, and enable the SRC on the slot. In that case, 48kHz word clock for the SRC must be provided via the WORD CLOCK IN connector or 48kHz AES/EBU signals to channel 1/2 of the installed card.
Can 96kHz digital audio inputs be accepted on a Mini-YGDAI card which does not support 96kHz if the SRC on RSio64-D is turned on?
Unfortunately not. Even if you turn on the SRC on the slot in which MY8-AE card is installed for example, the 96kHz AES/EBU inputs cannot be accepted either in double speed or double channel mode. In that case, a card that supports 96kHz will be necessary, such as MY8-AE96.
Which channels' clock status do the SLOT 1-4 [LOCK] indicators show?
They indicate the clock status of channel 1/2 on each slot except for when the MY8-AEB card is used (channel 7/8 for that).
