Yamaha Assists AudioLab At PLASA London 2013

As always, this year’s PLASA London show is offering a range of educational seminars as part of its Professional Development Programme. Key to these is the AudioLab Interactive programme, which Yamaha is making a significant contribution to.

Working with Roland Hemming and the team from RH Consulting, Andy Cooper - Manager of the Yamaha Commercial Audio Support Centre Europe - will be co-presenting seminars on the first two days of the show. The presentations will feature a range of Yamaha digital audio equipment, including DME64N digital mixing engines, MSP series active loudspeakers and MY series interfaces.

  • The Ultimate Network Shootout is presented at 16.00 on Sunday 6th and 13.30 on Monday 7th October. Andy will assist in demonstrating a number of different audio networks including Dante - the core networking technology of Yamaha’s CL series digital mixing consoles.
  • Does Network Latency Really Cause Problems? is being presented at 11.30 and 16.00 on Monday 7th October. This session examines whether audio latency really is a problem and, if so, how much system delay is acceptable to a musician playing live on stage? Featuring a ‘real life’ set up, performing musicians will help to answer these questions.

Other sessions presented as part of the AudioLab series throughout the four days of the show include Things You Really Shouldn’t Do With An Amplifier; What Really Causes Interference?; What Happens In An Emergency? and Aural Athletics. All sessions are free to attend.

Yamaha CL series digital mixing consoles will be on display on a number of stands at the show, as well as other Yamaha digital audio equipment.

PLASA London 2013 takes place at London’s ExCel from Sunday 6th - Wednesday 9th October.
