Tina Jamegarmi
Tina Jamegarmi was born in 1983 and embarked on her musical journey at a young age. Initially captivated by the santoor (hammered dulcimer), she began her studies at the tender age of six. By the time she was ten, Tina had discovered her passion for the violin, an instrument that would define her illustrious career.
Tina's musical prowess spans a remarkable array of genres, including traditional Middle Eastern music, classical, and jazz. Her ability to blend these styles seamlessly has made her a unique and versatile performer. Tina's academic achievements are equally impressive; she holds a master’s degree in music and has been imparting her knowledge to students in both university settings and various music schools since 2000.
Her performance career is decorated with numerous accolades, including the prestigious Musicema Award for Best Music Album with the Shahrzad Quartet, the title of top classical violin player at the Youth Music Festival, and the top spot at the Fajr Music Festival. Tina has played in countless bands and orchestras, and her artistry is featured on over eight albums. She currently showcases her talent using the Yamaha YEV-104 electric violin.
